The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of accounting services including timely, accurate and complete transaction processing, account analysis, reconciliations, and other accounting activities of all State Local and Federal programs including Financial Aid. The Senior Accountant is responsible for monitoring and reconciling the College's four complex main operating bank accounts and for monitoring and reporting the Financial Aid and Loan Fund accounts which include posting due to/from transactions for Financial Aid and Department of Education allocation drawdowns. Other responsibilities include the creation of year end revenue accrual and the annual unclaimed property escheatment process. Additional Ad Hoc reporting projects to provide data to outside agencies as well as other College departments. Assist in preparing the College's Financial Statements which are distributed to the College's Board of Directors. Lastly, the Senior Accountant acts as the backup to the Assistant Controller in his/her absence. Minimum Requirements
