Associate Director, Tax

We're looking for an Associate Director, Tax. This is a non-managerial, individual contributor, remote position. You will develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports. Ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns. Assesses tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions. Recommends ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. May administer international tax laws and regulations. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

You will report to the Tax Director of Accounting & Compliance.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do



  • Review and direct others in the preparation of supporting workpapers for the foundational tax process.
  • Work in coordination with finance and accounting shared service center teams to align US GAAP, statutory financial statements, local country income tax returns, and reporting with the company's complex tax structure.
  • Income tax planning (technical and operational), including risk profile identification and mitigation.
  • Highly skilled in the integration of Corp tax functionality and foundation tax processes to train others and identify areas of improvement.
  • Direct and manage the quarterly provision process.
  • Often correspond with tax authorities in tax audits, in close coordination with tax team colleagues and financial leadership.
  • Project lead with external auditors and advisors on special projects and planning initiatives.
  • Analyze, review, and monitor transfer pricing analysis, controls, and documentation requirements.
  • Delegates current and future local reporting requirements.
  • Provide tax technical advice, guidance, and training across the business and with multiple stakeholders.
  • Point of contact for all related tax audits/compliance working with the local finance teams.
  • Drive ad hoc projects as required, such as addressing tax notices, coordinating tax audits, implementing or evaluating new standards or law, evaluating or implementing controls for new risk areas.
  • Maintains awareness of global tax environment to identify potential impacts to the foundational tax process.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships, routinely at senior executive levels within the company.

  • Uses functional area strategy and direction from leadership, as well as long term business objectives, to guide work and direct the work of others.
  • Contributes to the creation of an environment that promotes the identification and development of talent* Corporate income tax experience in a multinational corporation and/or large public accounting firm environment.
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding of ASC 740 accounting for income taxes with relevant experience.
  • Experience with international related tax filings.
  • CorpTax or OneSource tax preparation software knowledge
  • Identify and resolve tax and accounting issues.* VAT/GST experience.
  • Software industry knowledge.


Role Essentials



  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background.
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • CPA license or equivalent.
