Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will develop and lead projects for the growth and development of the North American Aerosol and Beverage (NA AAB) business.

Job Duties:




  • Leads BD projects that require Trivium investment





  • Leads BD projects to grow Trivium footprint into new segments





  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of the market, to identify new business opportunities which align with the company strategy





  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business deals.





  • Implements Trivium new segment growth strategy





  • Works with Trivium global strategy team to integrate NA AAB strategy into Trivium global strategy





  • Develops relationships with customer key decision makers, including C-level executives, capable of greenlighting new projects





  • Works closely with R&D / Innovation teams to help guide development work to enter new segments





  • Manages customer accounts as assigned





  • Reports into Director, Commercial regarding account activities with assigned NA AAB accounts





  • Provides plant / CSR support on BD projects / customers





  • Other duties / projects as assigned




Qualifications and Experience Requirements:




  • Bachelor degree preferred





  • 10+ years of business development experience coupled with experience in other functions preferred





  • Relevant background in packaging industry, preferably selling into food and beverages segment





  • Strong leadership and communication skills; excellent listening, oral and written communication abilities





  • Understands financial modeling and key drivers of ROI for capital investments





  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new customers and grow businesses





  • Proven track record in exceeding sales and profitability goals; seeks to have a positive impact on the business with a strong drive for results





  • Ability to develop and implement key strategic initiatives with sustainable, long term beneficial business impact





  • Expert in value-selling; working knowledge of business financials and accounting





  • Experienced negotiator; experience in contracts and agreements





  • Ability to travel 50% of the time including domestic locations





  • Owner mindset, self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment





  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel





Work Environment:

This position will primarily work in an office environment where sitting for prolong periods of time and using a computer, telephone and other office electronics are critical. The position will also need to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
