The Role

Skytap, a Kyndryl Company, is seeking a highly experienced Principal Product Manager to lead the product strategy, development, and execution of solutions within our cloud platform. You will work closely with the Skytap engineering, marketing, and field-facing teams as well as customers to translate customer requirements into actionable technical specifications. You will serve as a key technical thought leader on the product management team.

Skytap Cloud gives enterprise customers the best of what cloud computing can offer. Together with our advanced automation, intuitive self-service and full visibility and control we enable our customers to quickly and easily use cloud computing to accelerate their business. This position will serve as a key technical thought leader on the product management team.

Our cloud service accelerates innovation by helping enterprises move legacy applications to the cloud. Once in the cloud enterprises can modernize the processes and technologies to deliver the application. Our technology makes it easy to build, run, and evolve applications by rapidly migrating traditional workloads to the cloud, enabling modern development practices, and integrating new cloud architectures and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Work closely with engineering teams to provide technical input on architecture, design, and implementation of network solutions. Must be able to delve into the technical details and guide development efforts.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of cloud features, from concept to delivery, ensuring continuous innovation and alignment with market.

  • Customer-Centric Development: Engage with customers to understand their challenges and translate feedback into product improvements and innovations.

  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activities, using this knowledge to shape the future of Skytaps cloud offerings.

Who You Are

Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of IBM Power, including AIX and IBM i.

  • Excellent understanding of cloud computing technologies and large-scale distributed systems.

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, presentation, and written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch.

  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to use data-driven insights to guide decision-making.

  • Agile project management experience.

Education & Background:

  • A bachelors degree in computer science (or equivalent technical experience).

  • Extensive product management experience delivering products for technical users.

  • Product management experience with cloud technologies.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $138,480 to $255,000 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement. There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations: Washington: $152,400 to $255,000 This position will be eligible for Kyndryls discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryls applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
