Job Overview:
ec Software Solutions, an entity of Mirion Medical, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Linux Admin/Applications Support Specialist to provide exceptional customer support for our software products. This role involves assisting with software installation, providing training, testing and evaluating software functionality, and working to improve the software. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux proficiency, troubleshooting skills, and a customer-oriented mindset. Some travel may be required for training and software installations.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Provide customer support for software products, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.



  • Assist with both virtual and in-person software installation (some travel required).



  • Provide customer training on software products (virtual and in-person).



  • Conduct software testing and evaluate functionality to ensure optimal performance.



  • Evaluate customer feedback and facilitate software improvement suggestions for possible implementation.



  • Offer excellent customer service, troubleshooting, and technical support.



  • Work with Linux systems and tools to manage, monitor, and maintain software functionality.



  • Administer Linux servers



  • Manage file systems, processes, and system services to ensure system stability.




Skills & Qualifications:




  • Proficiency in Linux systems, with strong command-line skills.



  • Strong troubleshooting abilities for software and hardware issues.



  • Experience with Linux server



  • Command-line proficiency in Linux to manage files, users, processes, and systems.



  • Ability to monitor and manage running processes and system services for system stability.



  • Experience in evaluating and providing feedback on software functionality for improvement.



  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in an IT support function or customer service role.



  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to customers.




Requirements:




  • Must live within a commutable distance to Somerset, NJ.



  • Some travel may be required for customer training and software installation.




Work Location:




  • Onsite role in Somerset, NJ.
