We are hiring a Windchill Solutions Architect to support the deliverables of our global team and initiatives. As a member of our team, using Agile practices, you will lead us to timely delivery of high-quality technical solutions that drive cross functional business strategies and initiatives.

We are looking for someone who is self-directed and has a high initiative to join our Engineering Systems team. You should be a strong relationship-builder with excellent communication skills, who enjoys working on projects that are large, complex, and provide new and improved capabilities to our customers. You should be flexible, driven, energetic, and have strong technical, critical thinking, and people skills to join our team. Above all, you are service-focused, serving our team, customers, and IT as well teaching and leading others with empathy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • Five years of experience working with Windchill and PLM business processes.
  • Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM) environment preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering, math, accounting concepts preferred.
  • Deep experience with PTC's Windchill and Creo Integrated Change Management (ICM), Bill of Material (BOM) Transformation, Parts Classification, and Sustainability functionality.
  • Experience with integration between Windchill and ERP systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM) environment preferred.

Our Engineering Systems team is a diverse and global team, supporting the people and systems in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Our mission is to empower our global PLM users to bring high quality products to market faster, using best-in-class technology, consistent processes and services, and trusted data that improves the product design, launch, manufacturing, and overall lifecycle management. To accomplish our mission, we are continually improving and enhancing our PLM system which provides the foundation for the Digital Thread of connected product development data. We are passionate about the products and services we deliver to our customers and value teamwork, customer service, and good communication to achieve team objectives and company strategic goals.

What You Will Be Doing:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively seeks to identify breakthrough/game changing ideas for the business through the creative application of existing and emerging technologies.
  • Envisions, implements and supports solutions (technical or non-technical) to resolve business problems or improve business processes
  • Building relationships with and consulting with one or more client groups, either internal or external
  • Developing system requirements and identifying alternatives with associated costs for solutions that use Product Life Cycle Management technologies
  • Implementing, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading solutions that use Product Life Cycle Management technologies.
  • Lead legacy data migrations from non-Windchill systems into Windchill which includes mapping and logic definition, test method strategy, and run sheet definition.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Product Life Cycle Management business processes
  • Deep Windchill background that includes Workflow Design, Type and Attribute Management, Container Strategy and Access Control Policies, Object Initialization Rules, Life Cycle Definition, Team Templates, Change Process and Templates, Vaulting and Replication, Queue Management, 3D Publishing, Creo Parametric, Creo/Toolkit API, CAD Data Management, XBOM Management, Process Planning, Visual Work instructions, Parts Classification, Participant Administration with LDAP, Installation, Preferences and Properties, etc.
  • A bias for action and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Open minded, positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to build trust with peers and help others when needed
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Stays current with and provides leadership/direction to the corporation in the use of new or emerging technologies, technology enhancements and upgrades.
  • Ability to uncover the standard offerings of the technology and knowledge of the future direction of the technology/company
  • Architectural thinking - holistic thinking with a focus on integration and value add
  • Accomplished Project Management and organizational skills
  • Expert in communication of all forms (written, verbal, 1:1, large groups) to any audience (internal, external, peers, executives, etc.).

Technical Components of the position includes such tools and technologies as:

  • PTC Products: Windchill, Creo, ESI/TIBCO, ThingWorx
  • ERP Systems: SAP ECC, SAP S/4
  • Programming Skills: Java, JavaScript, SQL
  • Other: MS Office Suite, MS Azure DevOps

The annual base salary range for this position is $117,000 - $182,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
