Description
Temp to possible hire position. Predominantly remote position with occasional travel to the NYC office. Position Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet GNY's workforce needs. This position involves developing sourcing strategies, managing the recruitment process, and fostering a positive candidate experience. This position involves building relationships with hiring managers, being organized, and proactive, with a strong understanding of talent acquisition best practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full recruitment life cycle for both internal and external positions (exempt and non-exempt requisitions), including networking, pipeline management, talent identification, offer negotiations, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Responsible for temporary recruitment needs and tracking.
- Source high quality and diverse talent using innovative and creative strategies, through a variety of sources, including job boards and professional networks.
- Source passive and active candidates to find top talent.
- Build good relationships with leaders, acting as a trusted partner for recruitment related activities. Proactively provide status updates on and results to managers.
- Assist managers in crafting tailored interview questions.
- Utilize applicant tracking system to post jobs, screen resumes, track candidates, and ensure a streamlined hiring process.
- Communicate job offers, manage salary discussions, and coordinate new hire logistics, ensuring a seamless transition for incoming new hires.
- Provide recruitment update reports to leadership.
- Attend local colleges/job fairs to attract talent.
- Negotiate and track agency fee agreements.
- Identify improvements in the recruitment processes to enhance efficiency.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum four years hands on experience with in-house full cycle recruiting, including sourcing candidates, screening/interviewing candidates and negotiating offers.
- Minimum four years working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) required. Paycom experience preferred.
- Minimum two years recruiting for property and casualty insurance positions.
- Extensive experience working with job boards, LinkedIn and social media platforms required. Strong sourcing and pipelining techniques required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple positions simultaneously while ensuring timely and efficient hiring processes.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Must be discrete and be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, be action-oriented, self motivated and results-driven.
The salary range for this role is$59,400 - $105,400. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
