Medical Student Coordinator - Emergency Medicine

Description

You will serve as the Medical Student/Fellowship Coordinator for the Department of Emergency Medicine, acting as a liaison to students, creating schedules, and coordinating various activities. You will also be responsible for arranging interviews for candidates, scheduling meetings and assisting with projects for multiple fellowships. The Medical Student/Fellowship Coordinator will assist in management of all academic personnel and credentialing processes for the Department of Emergency Medicine, including full-time clinical faculty and voluntary academic appointments.

Salary Range: $32.76 - $49.65/Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's
    Degree in related and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+
    years experience coordinating an educational program(s) in an academic medical
    center or other relevant experience.
  • Proficient
    with or ability to quickly learn Microsoft Office programs, and dean's office
    database management programs and web based applications.
  • Presents
    and expresses ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner
    appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written. Actively listens to what
    others are saying to achieve understanding. Shares information with others and
    facilitates the open exchange of ideas and information.
  • Ability
    to manage confidential information discreetly and responsibly; ability to
    follow FERPA regulations.
  • Open
    to change and new information; adapts behavior and wok methods in response to
    new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles. Acclimates
    quickly to new situations warranting attention and resolution.
  • Demonstrated
    commitment to knowledge development/professional development.
  • High
    degree of initiative and independent judgement.
  • Excellent
    organizational and analytical skills; strong attention to detail. Ability to
    complete work and meet
    established
    deadlines in an accurate and timely manner, and to manage short and competing
    deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact collegially with
    faculty, staff, learners, and outside contacts at all levels.
Preferred:
  • Comprehensive
    understanding of LCME accreditation policy. Comprehensive understanding of UCLA
    policy and procedures.
