Are you a compassionate and adaptable RN seeking to expand your clinical expertise in an academic medical setting? UVA Health is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Pediatric Float Pool-a specialized team that supports multiple inpatient units within our award-winning Medical Center.
This position requires the ability to work night shifts or rotating shifts, providing flexible scheduling while ensuring exceptional patient care around the clock. Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, or wage/PRN opportunities, our Staffing Resource Office is ready to support you in finding the right fit within our Pediatric services. As a float pool RN, you'll have the opportunity to work in different areas based on your competencies, broaden your skillset, and gain exposure to diverse specialties, all while contributing to a patient-centered team. Consistently provides effective direct care, as part of the interdisciplinary team, to a variety of complex patients. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a refined skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians and other members of the health care team. Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process. This job description integrates the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements, and the UVA Nursing Professional Practice Model.
