The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis.

SPA has a near-term need for a Computer Systems Engineer/Architect.



Responsibilities

Applies information assurance engineering expertise to USSTRATCOM GOC mission systems, inclusive of government and commercial common user systems, as well as dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures focused on command and control-related networks. Establishes and satisfies complex system-wide information security requirements based upon analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource requirements and constraints. Supports development and implementation of doctrine and policies for high-level senior customers. Performs a variety of computer security systems engineering tasks applied to specialized technology problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, and technology problems as they relate to application of Information Assurance requirements. Analyzes information security requirements, conducts security assessments, and provides security consulting services.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    Must maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Special Access Required (SAR) programs.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, systems analysis and/or systems architecture.
  • At least 12 years of experience in strategic deterrence and global strike planning, including in-depth knowledge of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) operations and capabilities, strategic nuclear operations, joint integrated operations, joint warfighting doctrine, unified Combatant Command (CCMD) structure, and global command and control constructs.
  • Knowledge and experience in critical command and control requirements, inclusive of NC2 and NC3 operational capabilities and procedures.
  • Knowledge of national, Department of Defense (DoD), and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) guidance, CJCS Emergency Action Procedures, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Emergency Action Procedures, CJCS Instructions, and Presidential Policy Directives.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD degree in engineering, systems analysis and/or systems architecture.
  • 5 years or more experience in supporting USSTRATCOM Global Operations Center (GOC) and/or other operations centers at Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, or DoD levels.
  • Experience in the NC2 operational platforms, communications, and modes of operations.
