Responsibilities

TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, subsidiary of UHS.

Position Summary: Under the direction of the CEO, plans, organizes, directs, and supervises department programs. Ensures service excellence development, personnel management, and resource allocation and control. Manages and supervises the admitting clerk, cashier, insurance biller, PBX operator, ER clerk, patient account representative and admissions. Assumes direction of participation in special projects as needed. Coordinates hospital-wide compliance with state and federal regulations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five years experience, which includes supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Must have knowledge of third-party payers - Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance. Outstanding people skills, including telephone technique, personal appearance, organization skills, communicable skills (oral and written), independent and self-motivate, flexible, analytic and arithmetic skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills and computer skills including some understanding of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
