As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a vital role in supporting organ transplantation by performing complex, high-impact testing that directly contributes to patient outcomes. Primary duties include: * Perform and document complex laboratory tests - including immunophenotyping assays and flow cytometry - with precision and accuracy. * Conduct quality control procedures in compliance with manufacturer protocols, department guidelines, ASHI standards, State Department of Health regulations, and other applicable accrediting bodies. * Enter and retrieve data accurately using the Medical Center LIS and UIC LIS, ensuring consistency through supervisor or senior staff review. * Complete CAP survey samples and competency exams accurately and within designated time frames. * Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and laboratory protocols. Salary Range: $53.31/hour - $71.04/hour Qualifications
* Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist (CHS) license. * Bachelor's degree. * Ability to work outside of normal shift hours, including on-call and rotating weekends. * Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation. |
