*Job Description*: Our current need is Data Center Technicians to install cable and fiber at data centers. The role involves installing cabinets, cable trays, ladder racks, fiber runners, containment, and trunks. Candidates must have proof of experience in these areas for the installer levels. This is a contract to hire position. There is a drug & BG check involved with the onboarding for this position. *Responsibilities:* * Installation and decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment. * Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement. * Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders. * Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness. * Follow all production, safety, and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices. * Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles. * Read and comprehend blueprints and building documentation/redline work. * Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies. *Skills and Qualifications:* * Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools. * Clear understanding of customer service and job safety requirements. * Ability to read and understand floor plans/blueprints. * Familiarity with wiring schemes and wiring testing. * Capability to pull all types of low voltage cable and perform field terminations and labeling. * Ability to layout MDF and IDF closets, dress all types of cable, and perform all types of terminations. * Experience working in Data Centers. * Ability to install ladder racking and seismic bracing both above and under raised floors. * Basic understanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting. * Ability to dress and furcate fiber trunks for splicing. * Fusion splicing including Ribbon/Single OSP/ISP. * Installation, connection, and decommissioning of network equipment. * Operation of DSX 5000 tester/OTDR Tester. * Programming testers and downloading test results to Linkware/Linkware Live. * Creating mass labels and applying them per Portmap. * Differentiating live cables from decom cables. * Copper testing and troubleshooting. * Conducting service swaps of live networking devices. * Understanding "FIM" database and operating scanners. *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. * Familiarity with data center procedures (physical security, decommissioning, logistics, etc.) is preferred. * Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, written, visual, and listening skills. * Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate required equipment and technical instruments. * Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds. * Ability to pull cables and climb ladders, working on raised platforms. *Pay rate: *Dependent on level of previous experience as well as time within the field. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
