This position will oversee financial system maintenance tasks, application, process design, user support and report development related to the Financial ERP (Workday) and other business intelligence applications (Strata). In addition, this position is responsible for strategy and implementation of automated system solutions proactively working to identify opportunities within the finance operating model supporting a variety of finance business units including but not limited to Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Shared Services, and others.
Essential Job Statements System Process Analysis & Design Proactively identifies and proposes improvements to financial systems (Workday) based on knowledge of application functionality. Collaborates with end users and leadership to capture business requirements for financial systems. Translates business requirements into functional specifications and processes. Allocates tasks appropriately to staff and monitors progress to ensure compliance with deadlines. Builds relationships with peers who are stakeholders of the Financial Systems. Proposes new ideas and process improvements on how to better utilize technology that will drive efficiencies and add value. Assists with future application development, including the need for new applications and need to modify existing solutions. Ongoing Maintenance Reviews the completion of ongoing daily and weekly maintenance tasks in both Workday Production and Test environments, including metadata maintenance. Ensures all maintenance is completed within outlined policies and procedures as defined by Finance and IT. Ensures accuracy and reliability of the work produced by Financial System Analyst. Schedules and coordinates periodic review of automated processing to ensure relevancy and reliability of scheduled processing. Troubleshoots common errors as needed and raise potential vulnerabilities. Creates and monitors reporting to support business processes and ensure integrity, including reviewing system calculations, integrations, and data. Oversees the monthly close reporting process, ensuring system availability to support Finance throughout the cycle. Supports ad-hoc reporting requests as needed. Lead resource for the annual budget process, ensuring system availability and serving as a technical resource to support knowledge transfer or troubleshoot common errors. End User Support Actively engages and educates business process owners in available functions and features of applications. Builds on prior experiences and other relevant use cases to help users visualize how they can better adopt solutions offered within Workday and other toolsets. Serves as a main point of contact for Finance users, including addressing system-based questions. Assist in encouraging continuous development within the Financial Systems team. Creating routines and structure to stay informed of upcoming application changes and opportunities that are accretive to Sheppard's existing Financial System architecture. Assist with onboarding of new resources, including providing training and mentoring to staff. Patient Population: N/A Employment Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Management Information Systems with a strong knowledge of systems and implementation Preferred Education:Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems with a strong knowledge of systems and implementation Licensing/ Certification Licensure/Certification Required:N/A Licensure/Certification Preferred:CPA, Workday Certifications Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required ExperienceRequired:6+ years of related experience in accounting/finance area with an emphasis on Workday financial systems, implementation, maintenance, and support function. 5+ years of functional experience with Workday Finance and Payroll Preferred: Prior leadership experience, Healthcare experience Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Detailed understanding of ERP core System concepts. Strong communication, organizational, planning, problem solving, analytical, judgment and research skills.Ability to use analytical and technical abilities to create and produce effective and efficient reports with limited guidance.Ability to prioritize competing requests while continually communicating to management.Identifies opportunities and implements process improvement activities resulting in enhanced financial outcomes.
