Pathologists' Assistant, Surgical Pathology

From grossing complex surgical specimens to training Pathologists' Assistant students, your expertise will help drive excellence in the lab every day.

In this role, your primary responsibilities include:

* Perform dissection, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens

* Conduct specimen photography and radiography

* Perform frozen sections and other intraoperative consultations

* Procure tissue for tumor banking and research studies

* Identify, investigate, and resolve problems related to surgical pathology

* Assist with accessioning and specimen labeling

* Support the orientation and training of residents, fellows, new staff, and Pathologists' Assistant students in surgical pathology protocols and procedures

Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $202,200.00/year

* PA (ASCP) certified or must pass PA (ASCP) exam within 12 months of hire.

* Bachelor's degree.

* Must be able to work the occasional Saturday.

* Must have the flexibility to work at both the Westwood and Santa Monica locations.

* 2 or more years of relevant work experience, preferred.
