Overview

Under the leadership of the Group Treasurer, Group Treasury is responsible for managing the financial resources of the Firm through capital management, liquidity management, asset and liability management, funding, and other core treasury activities. Group Treasury resides within the Group Finance organization led by the Group Chief Financial Officer. This role is within Treasury Americas as the US Head of Liquidity Management (LM). The LM team is responsible for Combined US Operations (CUSO) Legal Entity Steering and Liquidity Risk Modeling.

What You'll Do

  • Senior Manager position overseeing the LM team responsible for CUSO daily liquidity and funding steering and internal liquidity stress testing (ILST) modelling

  • Active engagement with various regulators to oversee submissions of regulatory requests including monthly review meetings and the annual Horizontal Liquidity Review

  • Oversee Group Audit reviews and internal validations of the liquidity and funding models

  • Develop and maintain policies and supporting documents for LM

  • Supervise the development, enhancement, maintenance, and review of methodologies for ILST including engagement with Business 1st Line of Defense and Liquidity Risk Management/ Model Risk Management 2nd Line of Defense

  • Direct the liquidity position of legal entities in CUSO under both regulatory (LCR/ NSFR) and internal (ILST/ LTFA) models/ approaches

How You'll Lead

  • Expertise in using data analytic tools and systems for liquidity forecasting, reporting, and decision making

  • Strong understanding of banking operations and the ability to streamline processes and increase efficiency

  • Ability to identify, assess, and manage financial and operational risks ensuring the Bank remains compliant with regulations

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent; JD or MBA a plus

  • Significant number of years experience within Treasury/ Finance; strong understanding of the financial services industry and Liquidity Management practices

  • Experience managing employees and leading a team

  • Experience in Banking or Capital Markets and/or relevant experience in Liquidity or Capital Management

  • Previous experience with regulators

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Understanding of key banking regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Regulation YY, SR14-Understanding of balance sheet mechanics such as planning and forecasting, or Funds Transfer Pricing are encouraged

  • Knowledge of Resolution Planning recommended

  • Ability to understand and determine driver for change within key metrics through knowledge of financial products and services (i.e., trade capture workflow)

  • Exceptional process and project management skills, with the ability to execute against tight deadlines and remain agile to evolving requirements

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $170,000 to $280,500.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
