Symetra has an exciting new opportunity to join us as a UXExperience Designer in Marketing!

About the role

We're looking for a collaborative and strategic UX Designer to support our Marketing and Brand teams by crafting intuitive, user-centered experiences across customer- and partner-facing websites and digital content. This role blends design, research, and brand alignment to drive engagement, clarity, and conversion across our digital touchpoints.

You'll be leading and participating in working sessions and discovery workshops, and presenting design concepts in a way that's clear and engaging for non-UX audiences. Your ability to communicate the "why" behind design decisions will be key to gaining stakeholder alignment and support.

What you will do

  • Design and optimize user journeys across marketing websites, landing pages, and campaign experiences.
  • Own and evolve navigation and information architecture to support ease of use and strategic goals.
  • Conduct and apply UX research methods (e.g., usability testing, heuristic reviews, stakeholder interviews, etc.) to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Brand and Marketing teams and cross-functional teams to ensure designs reflect brand identity while prioritizing business and user needs and to ensure high-quality implementation of designs.
  • Translate marketing goals and user insights into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Work within and help evolve the marketing design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with the broader product design system.
  • Partnering with engineering and third-party vendors to ensure accurate implementation and maintain design integrity across digital experiences.
  • Leverage data, testing, and stakeholder input to iterate and improve designs.
  • Ensure accessibility, responsive design, and performance best practices are applied throughout your work.
