Regions Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to join our team as the Director of Nursing for the Emergency Department. Reporting to the Vice President of Patient Care Services, the Director will work in close collaboration with the Medical Director of Emergency Services and the Director of Emergency Medicine Practice. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, advancing patient safety, and driving initiatives that reduce medical errors. The Director will be accountable for the strategic, financial, and operational performance of the Emergency Department (ED), including oversight of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program. Key responsibilities include fostering a culture of continuous improvement in care quality and patient safety, striving for clinical excellence and minimizing risks associated with care delivery. The Director will also participate in business planning, program development and sustaining appropriate growth of Emergency Services at Regions Hospital. About the Emergency Department: The Regions Hospital Emergency Department is a 74-bed, Level 1 Trauma Center serving a diverse patient population, with 100,000+ visits annually. Our dedicated team of close to 400 nurses and staff hold a broad range of specialty certifications, reflecting a strong commitment to nursing excellence and outstanding patient care.
