About The Position
The Engineering and Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing construction of Substation and Transmission Line projects including new facilities, upgrades, and maintenance of existing facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Plans and supervises multiple projects with broad scope and a mid to long term focus. Provides onsite field management and coordination. Works fully independent in performing all aspects of construction supervision. Initiate and evaluate jobsite safety and quality control procedures. Perform and document safety and quality audits. Interpret and convey Ameren provided specifications, drawings and instructions to contractor. Ensure contractor compliance with same. Act as liaison between Ameren, landowners, Road Districts and other governmental agencies, contractors and Ameren project team in the planning and execution of projects. Provide constructability expertise in planning and review specifications, schedule, outage planning and other activities to assure successful project completion. Administer job working rules, workman's protection assurance (WPA), OSHA and environmental regulations, and ongoing Ameren operating procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Professional Engineer License, PMP Certification, CCM and/or CPC preferred. Five or more years of transmission, distribution or project management experience is required. Supervisory or team/contractor leadership experience preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Knowledge of materials, methods and tools in the construction and maintenance of Transmission and Distribution facilities. Knowledge of general construction processes, principles and activities. Strong leadership, management, analytical, communication and human relations skills. Must be adaptable and flexible. Knowledge of Safe work practices and ability to influence safe behaviors of contractors and others. The Engineering and Construction Supervisor-1 works during normal business hours in a field environment. Overnight travel may be required multiple days per week, depending on location of construction projects. Subject to call-out and overtime as required for storm restoration and project work.
Additional Information: Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. #LI-Hybrid Compensation Range: $86,400.00 - $168,000.00
* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
