Position Description:

Are you a dynamic and compassionate Physical Therapist eager to make a difference? The Wisconsin Institute for Neuroscience (WINS) at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our innovative Building Resilience through Action in Veterans and First Responders (BRAVE) Program. This role focuses on delivering exceptional care to military veterans and first responders with persistent post-concussive symptoms, emphasizing high-level physical performance, visual-vestibular integration, and orthopedic-based therapies.

While vestibular experience is highly preferred, we welcome candidates with a strong orthopedic background who are eager to develop their vestibular skills with the support of our experienced team.

Your Role
As a Physical Therapist with the BRAVE Program, you'll:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with input from patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Provide therapy focusing on high-level physical performance, visual-vestibular conditioning, and orthopedic rehabilitation.

  • Educate patients and families about their care and collaborate on long-term wellness strategies.

  • Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with team members.

  • Maintain therapy spaces and equipment in a safe, clean condition.

Position Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree

  • Wisconsin State Physical Therapy License.

  • At least 1-2 years of clinical experience post-graduation.

  • Strong background in orthopedic therapy, including manual therapy, chronic neck and back pain treatment, dry needling, cupping, taping, and myofascial trigger point therapy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some experience or exposure to vestibular therapy is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Experience working with military veterans, first responders, or individuals with concussive injuries.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and interdisciplinary collaboration.
