The Marketing Segment Manager is responsible for developing, business casing and implementing marketing plans and tactics for the assigned products and line of business. The marketing plans must be measurable and align with the financial goals and objectives of products and business units. The development of these plans requires thorough knowledge of the businesses involved, the competitive environment, leading marketing practices and expected results within the space. This position will lead a cross-functional team representing design, digital, operations, analytics and products to create innovative customer-centered campaigns that increase revenue for the products and line of business.

This person will,

  • Develop, business case and implement effective marketing plans with measurable results for the assigned products and business units that support annual objectives and sales goals. Must base strategy and business case on expected results, pas learnings and a measurable return on marketing investment (ROMI)

  • Work directly with the senior leadership of the business units to understand their priorities and strategic objectives, situational opportunities and to provide timely support for their initiatives and market opportunities.

  • Work with key partners, facilitate and oversee the analysis of the customer and prospect universe within assigned business units in order to provide insight and market opportunities for the products and groups supported. Identify and target optimal prospects and customers. Execute programs and solutions that deliver measurable results against forecasted expectations.

  • Ensure channel message integrity for all groups and product categories supported, ensuring continuity of message and focus. Manage marketing calendar and tactics including direct mail, email, sales collateral, print, paid search, digital display, social.

  • Compile voice of customer and customer insights, measure marketing initiatives and identify ways to continuously drive marketing effectiveness. Consistently measure and communicate performance tied to business results

  • Ideate on creative new ways to acquire, retain, deepen customers and improve ROMI.

Requirements
Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, or Related Fields. Required.

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, or Related Fields. Preferred.

Experience

  • 4-7 years product, finance, marketing, analytics experience within a bank, financial services company or related industry. Required.

  • Up to 2 years strong analytic capability (budgeting, forecasting, leveraging insights to inform planning, leveraging and manipulating internal external data to understand trends and make recommendations. Preferred.

  • Up to 2 years practical understanding of the businesses supported at an industry and market level, able to quickly identify marketing opportunities that support unit objectives and provide a good return on marketing investment. Preferred.

  • Up to 2 years strong understanding of the products and services sold, market conditions, competition, etc. Preferred.

  • Up to 2 years ability to develop a marketing strategy and business case with the expected results that include the tactical execution plans. Preferred.
