Job Title: Ergonomics Injury Prevention Specialist

Job Location: Atlanta, GA 30354

Duration: 12 Months Assignment

Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM (M-F)


Requirements:

  • Up to 30% travel is required.
  • Successful completion of BMAR.
  • Meet the physical requirements that qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift at least 70 pounds.
  • The ability to read and write English and the ability to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals.
  • A team player who actively participates in identifying process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
  • Learn all maintenance utility processes and functions within the shop and be willing to help out where necessary.


Must Have:

  • Must have a safety-first mindset.
  • Must be proficient in written and oral communication.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Smartsheet, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must pass job-related tests, which are designed to determine aptitudes and abilities to perform essential job functions (tests are administered based on the Client's protocol and procedures).
  • Must have a working knowledge, understanding, and familiarity with approved manuals and procedures.
  • Must have the knowledge of and ability to perform appropriate computer functions to provide documentation to ensure that maintenance records, parts tracking, and costs are accurately recorded.


Minimum qualifications:

  • Demonstrated project management experience and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic data management skills.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and can function in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.


Preferred qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Allied Health, or other Occupational Health-related fields.
  • A basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer, Corrective Exercise.
  • Specialist, Certified Professional Ergonomist, or related Human Performance certification.
  • Experience in industrial operations, health care, and occupational safety.
  • Project/program management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.


Responsibilities:

  • This contract position will support the ACS Health, Wellness, and Ergonomics team in developing and managing existing injury prevention projects and programs, coordinating training programs, assuring effectiveness, and analyzing injury data and trends for our Front-Line agents to reduce Global Injury Rate and Lost Work Days.
  • This role will work within the ACS Ground Safety team to develop and lead injury prevention solutions to reduce musculoskeletal injuries and return-to-work programs in our ground operation.
  • Client's Customer Service division supports over 30,000 front-line employees.
  • This position reports directly to the Manager - ACS Ergonomics.


Specific functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct large-scale injury prevention projects.
  • Managing sustainability and continuous improvement of ergonomic training programs.
  • Data collection and analysis, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Travel assessments and site visits across client's domestic operations.
  • Administer training programs on an as-needed basis.
  • Collect and organize feedback to develop action items.
  • Lead industrial tools and tech projects.
  • Utilize the SafetyNet (Vistaire) reporting system to pull ongoing injury data and cases.
  • Elevate safety and enterprise risk to leadership as needed.
  • As required by the FAA for all persons in safety-sensitive positions, candidates selected for this position are required to pass an extensive background check, drug test, and hearing test.


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Note:

  • No A&P License required.


Other Responsibilities:

  • The Aircraft Support Mechanic (ASM) is part of the Component Maintenance team within TechOps.
  • In this role, you will perform or assist in the disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing of aircraft components to help ensure safe, on-time departures of the client's fleet of aircraft and the fleet of other companies that have selected the client as their maintenance provider.
  • You will be expected to utilize appropriate tools, chemicals, and equipment safely to effectively and efficiently accomplish shop/aircraft-related functions.
  • Please note this position is subject to 24/7 operations to include shift, weekend, and holiday coverage.
  • Safety is the Client's number one priority; therefore, all employees practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
  • Will be operating machines (small machinery) and mostly hand tools (air/electric).
