You will assist the Team Lead in building out infrastructure and supporting various IT projects. Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Assist the Team Lead in planning and executing infrastructure projects, ensuring that timelines and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, network engineers, system administrators, and application teams, to gather requirements and provide analytical support.
  • Support the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of data center operations, including hardware, software, security and network components.
  • Assist in documenting processes, workflows, and project updates, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure infrastructure changes meet project requirements.
  • Help monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identifying potential issues and suggesting improvements.
  • Provide support in the configuration and optimization of infrastructure components, including servers, storage, and network devices.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project progress and findings to stakeholders.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues, working closely with senior team members to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Provide general support to the team, including administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, and coordinating project activities with stakeholders.
  • Leading Stakeholder engagement on related projects or deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years of experience in IT or a similar role (internships or co-op experience will be considered).
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 4 years of experience in IT or a similar role (internships or co-op experience will be considered).
  • High School Diploma/GED 5 years of experience in IT or a similar role (internships or co-op experience will be considered).
Relevant Work Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in system analysis with a focus on software and infrastructure deployment. 3rd tier application support experience is a major plus, Preferred.
  • Exceptional project management skills, capable of leading projects to successful outcomes, Preferred.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a commitment to providing excellent support, Preferred.
  • Experience with operating systems, including both Windows and Linux. Scripting (Powershell, bash/ksh or other Linux shell, Python) Required.
  • Server administration concepts (storage, backup, common tools such as Ansible and rsync) Preferred.
  • Practical networking knowledge (subnets, firewalls, routing, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SFTP/SFTPS, SMTP) Preferred.
  • Database experience, preferably with Oracle and MS SQL, with PostgreSQL being a plus, Preferred.
  • Exposure to Containers, Kubernetes, Virtualization technologies, including VMware and Nutanix, Preferred.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps and a thorough understanding of the Agile framework for project management, Preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and effectively, Preferred.
  • Experience working with data centers and a strong cybersecurity-first mentality, Preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License Required
Additional Physical Demands
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
