JOB TITLE:

Coordinator, Prospect & Donor Strategy

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for leading all elements of Prospect Management and Donor Strategy alongside the Development and Advancement teams and Campus Partners. Organize, manage, and consult on UW Foundation prospect information to support the Development Team's outreach and fundraising efforts and goals. In collaboration with Development staff and senior leadership, develop customized strategic plans for donor contact, cultivation, and solicitation. Engage in strategic planning for fundraising goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Verify, record and report on accurate prospect management data to support the efforts of the UWF Development team.
  • Lead and manage all elements related to meetings with the Development team for the purpose of identifying specific projects, challenges, outdated data and/or various research queries. Develop plan of action in collaboration with Prospect Development team.
  • Lead efforts to create accountability and infrastructure around Donor Strategy and Prospect/Development plans. Craft ideal portfolio compositions for fundraisers specific to their individual needs.
  • Promote clear communication and reiterative goal setting between members of Development and Advancement teams.
  • Oversee maintenance of prospect, portfolio, and pipeline data.
  • Provide support in the creation of a Foundation-wide Strategy/Principal Gifts program. Lead creation of Prospect Development Plan/Strategy in preparation for a fundraising campaign.
  • Complete varied projects related to Prospect Development, including but not limited to moves management, pipeline forecasting, metrics analysis, fundraiser accountability and assignments.
  • Proactively and reactively prospect for and compile reporting on leadership, major and principal gift level prospects.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and coordinate training sessions regarding prospect data. Provide guidance, consultation, and training.
  • Collaboratively create and present updated prospect reports for UWF staff members and teams.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Onboarding new UWF staff regarding database navigation and prospect management processes.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of department interns or other part-time staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience: 3 years progressively responsible work-related experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: A graduate or professional degree in a relevant field
  • Experience: 2+ years of work experience in a Higher Education or Non-Profit setting
  • Records maintenance and management
  • Data entry to online information systems
  • Recordkeeping methods and techniques
  • Advanced operation of MS Office (Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment
