Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for both proprietary brands and other consumer recognized brands, is searching for a Region Manager to be responsible for the merchandising strategy and execution through the District Managers and their teams, within the Lowe's, Home Depot, and Walmart stores in the assigned district. This position is focused on developing their assigned team and their business relationships with other Region Managers and store management to grow the business.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • Train, motivate, guide, and provide direction to the assigned team of District Managers and Region Managers
  • Develop business relationships with other Region Directors and in store management for -"Mining the Middle" in order to grow the business
  • Conduct store audits to ensure that all corporate planograms, programs and promotions are implemented
  • Must be able to meet, execute and provide leadership for critical time lines such as resets, display implementation, special projects, etc.
  • Must be able to lead by example - daily in-store presence
  • Manage expenses to budget
  • Manage district recruiting needs with HR and District Managers
  • Report weekly store hours, conduct, and report field surveys, etc.
  • Review and approve "hours worked" report and payroll for hourly merchandisers within assigned district
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related business experience
  • Management experience, preferred
  • General knowledge of the retail industry - knowledge of Home Depot and Lowe's required; knowledge of Walmart preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to analyze reports and summarize to provide to the team
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. consistently throughout the course of the work day.
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state in which you reside, a good driving record, reliable transportation and proof of current personal car insurance
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Ability to travel weekly throughout territory, may require frequent overnight stays
  • Utilize smart phone and laptop for daily communication
  • Retail store environment - both in store and garden center
  • Work week is Monday - Friday and some weekends during Peak Season (March - June)
  • Remote
