Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Interventional Pulmonology Respiratory Therapist to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Thursday, Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Performs pre-procedure assessment. Reviews pre-procedural patient information including H & P, medications, allergies.
  • Coordinates planned care with other healthcare team members.
  • Displays a strong foundation in physiology along with a strong understanding of the respiratory system
  • Implements principles of aseptic technique utilizing a thorough knowledge of basic infection control practices.
  • Implements knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic scopes and high-level disinfection process.
  • Ensures safety by knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to the bronchoscopy suite, safety, security, fire, emergency, and biomedical.

Additional Requirements:



  • Licensure - Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State
  • Certification - Registered respiratory therapist/ Basic Life support/ Advance Cardiovascular Life support
  • Experience - 3 years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist; 1 year of critical care
  • Education - Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
