Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Information Assurance/Security Engineer Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer. Additionally, the role will provide expertise applying & implementing the applicable Federal laws, DHS & TSA directives, policies & standards, & industry best practices for Incident Response & Cybersecurity Support & other Cybersecurity functions, including FISMA, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, & NIST RMF, for secure data control, handling, protection, mitigation, & incident response.

This position is 100% Remote.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

    Organize, direct, & manage task order operation support functions involving multiple complex, & inter-related project tasks in support of the Information Assurance & Cyber Security Division (IAD).
  • Support ICAM Support Services, Incident Response & Cybersecurity Support Services, and Risk Management & Compliance Support Services.
  • Serve as an information assurance & cyber security SME to resolve day-to-day issues.
  • Support, communicate & coordinate with other divisions, System Owners, ISSO, & TSA offices & authorized stakeholders responsible for physical, property, facilities, & intelligence functions.
  • Monitor & report on the performance of Incident Response & Cybersecurity Support activities.
  • Utilize existing tools, platforms, processes, & procedures and shall identify & share areas of improvements to Incident Response & Cybersecurity Support activities to stay up to date with evolving insider user & external threats.
  • Support the system security program by proactively managing Infrastructure systems security risks, vulnerabilities, & compliance with security configurations, guidance, & policies.
  • Perform vulnerability management (e.g., scanning, patching) & DHS ISVM compliance, remediation, & reporting.
  • Document, deliver, & report on outstanding issues in the Vulnerability Management Remediation POA&M Schedule Compliance Report.
  • Provides technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems.
  • Prepares documentation from information obtained from customers using accepted guidelines such as RMF (Risk Management Framework).
  • Provides assessment and authorization (A&A) support in the development of security and contingency plans and conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
  • Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps.
  • Develop tests and integrate computer and network security tools. Secures system configurations and installs security tools, scans systems to determine compliance and report results and evaluates products and various aspects of system administration.
  • Conducts security program audits and develops solutions to lessen identified risks.
  • Develop strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements.
  • Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • 10 years of experience.
  • Experience managing IT enterprise security / Cybersecurity teams.
  • Extensive TSA leadership experience.
  • Experience as a Information Assurance Manager.
  • Experience in government contact center operations management.
  • 7 years of Project Management or equivalent specialized experience with Project Management tools and techniques.
  • Should be able to identify and communicate program risks and recommend mitigation.

Required Certifications:

  • Possess ITIL 4 Certification not later than Assumption of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Possess a relevant security certification (CISSP, CISM) from an accredited organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
