Overview
Now hiring a Developement Director for Planned & Major Giving! Presbyterian is seeking a Development Director that will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 100 - 125 Major Gift prospects through all phases of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The Development Director will partner with physicians to build and manage grateful patient engagement plans, and to become involved with corporate and foundation relations as needed. This is a hybrid position that allows for a home office, but carries the expectation that the Development Director will maintain routine physical presence for meetings and engagement in Presbyterian facilities and will be present for scheduled team meetings. Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required.
- CFRE designation preferred.
- 7 to 10 years experience in fundraising or closely related field (business management, marketing, communications, etc.).
- Knowledge of all major foundation functions.
- Proven track record in fundraising, including campaigns, major gifts and annual giving techniques and processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and experience using a CRM, Salesforce preferred.
Education Essential: Bachelor Degree
Responsibilities
- Manages a portfolio of 100-125 donors and ensures timely cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
- Develops a grateful patient solicitation plan with an initial focus on building strong relationships with selected physicians to generate patient/family referrals. *May lead an advisory council/committee comprised of volunteers who can assist with pursuing event sponsorships and major gifts.
- Coordinates cultivation/stewardship events (breakfast, lunch, etc.) as necessary.
- Works in partnership with other PHS Foundation staff on major gift/leadership solicitations and system-wide fundraising initiatives, such as the annual employee campaign.
- Participates as needed in Foundations grants program, including research, writing, cultivation, stewardship, and oversight of external grant writing support.
- Provides on-call support to the Foundations Luminary Circle patient assistance program (approximately one night per week, one weekend every 4-6 weeks). Light activity expected, but monitoring phone is critical.
- Works with the Foundation team to plan, organize and implement annual signature fundraising events, donor cultivation events and major/leadership gift donor recognition events.
- Serves as a visible and vocal advocate for philanthropy throughout Presbyterian.
- Routine onsite attendance is an essential function of the position; local travel required.
