Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will support the maintenance activities throughout the plant by managing union, hourly personnel, planning job tasks, and executing the established maintenance programs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee maintenance operations for a large, complex manufacturing facility, including utility systems, equipment, and building and grounds maintenance.
  • Ensure maintenance objectives align with projects, reliability, costs, quality, and safety standards.
  • Manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs, the SAP Work Order system, equipment repairs, and upgrades, prioritizing safety performance.
  • Maintain facility conditions to safeguard assets and comply with corporate standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Maintenance personnel and production areas.
  • Coordinate with contractors performing on-site work.
  • Lead and motivate maintenance teams for effective repairs and capital/alteration projects.
  • Ensure proper work permitting in designated plant areas.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new maintenance staff.
  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues affecting performance or repair costs.
  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and drive continuous improvement through best practices.
  • Maintain stores and spare equipment systems aligned with plant needs.
  • Comply with food safety and quality guidelines, including HACCP, GMPs, and QA policies.
  • Manage timekeeping systems (ADP) for approvals, adjustments, and pay code corrections.
  • Be available for off hour and weekend calls to keep 24/7 plant running smoothly.

Qualifications:

  • * High School Diploma/GED required; a 2-year Mechanical Technology certificate or at least two years of experience in an industrial, maintenance, electrical, or construction environment preferred.
    * Experience managing union, hourly personnel.
    * Solid understanding of mechanical reliability and maintenance principles.
    * Knowledge of: Maintenance procedures, Electrical distribution, plumbing, and mechanical systems, Preventative and predictive maintenance, and Facilities maintenance
    * Preferred to have some experience in utilities, boilers, high-speed rotating equipment, pumps, and air distribution.
    * Proficient in SAP for maintenance work orders and cost tracking.
    * Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization.
    * Demonstrated ability to build teams and drive operational efficiencies.
    * Willingness and physical ability to climb, stand, and walk regularly as part of the job.

Salary Ranges:

$59,900.00 - $111,200.00
