Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Undergraduate Student Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in chemistry, sensor testing, and applied research. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to projects that make a real impact in the field. At BlueHalo, we firmly believe that all internships are not created equal. Our Summer Internship Program is meticulously designed to provide students with an immersive and dynamic experience within our industry, offering a taste of what it's like to be part of our professional team. As an Undergraduate Student Intern in Chemistry, you will assist with a variety of tasks related to sensor testing and chemical research. You will work closely with senior researchers and engineers to perform experiments, calibrate sensors, analyze data, and help develop new sensor technologies. This role is ideal for students interested in combining their chemistry knowledge with practical sensor applications and hands-on laboratory experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in testing and calibrating chemical sensors, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
  • Perform hands-on experiments to evaluate the performance of various sensors in different conditions (e.g., temperature, pressure, humidity).
  • Help design and set up experimental testing protocols for sensor performance and reliability.
  • Collect and analyze data from sensor tests, documenting results and providing insights for optimization.
  • Collaborate with the research team to troubleshoot sensor issues and improve sensor design.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, data, and experimental findings.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of sensor technology and applications.
  • Assist with general laboratory tasks, including sample preparation, equipment calibration, and safety protocol adherence.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to report on experimental progress and findings.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of chemistry principles, sensor technology, and laboratory techniques.
  • Strong interest in sensor applications and testing.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and laboratory protocols.
  • Due to the nature of the position US citizenship is required.
