This Financial Manager will be responsible for leading a Financial Reporting Team, managing the necessary operating rhythms with the business and other functional teams to identify and mitigate business and controllership risks, support issue resolution, engage in ordinary and extraordinary/complex transactions to ensure controllership compliance by providing expertise and accounting guidance, involving Technical Controllership and the broader organization as required.

As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring accounting compliance, effectiveness of financial and operational controls, with a focus on process simplification and operational excellence to deliver accurate financial reporting Leading Sub-Regions weekly forecasts and actively interface with Area Leaders to present clear estimate
  • Being a change agent for the Controllership team to roll out new processes, system changes and upgrades, BD activities, and other Controllership matters related to Financial Reporting policies and procedures.
  • Serving as a: problem solver, collaborator, and critical thinker; possess the ability to quickly understand complex items and efficiently propose solutions.
  • Partnering with relevant FP&A leaders (Product Company CFO, FP&A lead, Segment CFOs, Region CFOs, etc.) ensure efficient and effective closes.
  • Work closely with the Corporate HQ Controllership and Finance teams to timely meet all HQ reporting requirements.
  • Managing the accounting of cross product company transactions via process called cross business schedule (CBS) involving various types of transactions such as equity and cost method investments, capital infusions, dividends distributions, acquisitions/dispositions and maintaining relevant governing policies.
  • Leading quarterly and year-end analysis necessary for Baker Hughes consolidated financial statement and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinating with Segment Controllers and teams as required to obtain information relevant for the financial close and related analysis.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or similar from an accredited university or college and 5+yrs of experience in Controllership management
  • Have good oral/written communication skills and interpersonal/leadership skills.
  • Must be able to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Have effective problem identification and solution skills using analytical and organizational ability.
