Summary:

In this role, you will lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of the Business Analysis (BA) practice across the organization. You will lead a high-performing team of business analysts, standardize best practices, and align business needs with technology solutions. As a key liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams, you'll drive clarity, optimize processes, and support strategic priorities through strong analytical leadership and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the vision and strategy for the Business Analysis practice, continually assessing and evolving the BA practice to meet changing business needs.
  • Align BA activities with organizational goals, strategic initiatives, and business priorities.
  • Serve as a thought leader in business process optimization, capability development, and value realization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business analysts across multiple projects or portfolios.
  • Establish clear career paths, performance metrics, and development plans for BAs.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Develop and enforce standards, tools, and methodologies for business analysis across the organization.
  • Promote consistency and quality in requirements gathering, impact analysis, and solution validation.
  • Partner with senior leaders, product managers, engineering, and other key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams to ensure alignment and clarity of goals.
  • Ensure analysts are engaged early and effectively in the initiative lifecycle to drive clarity, feasibility, and traceability of requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • 7 or more years of experience in business analysis or within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) required.
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and business requirements analysis required.
  • In-depth understanding of business process analysis required.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer-facing presence required.
  • Proven management experience highly preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of test methodologies highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL highly preferred.
  • Experience with AI or machine learning highly preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
