About the Opportunity: We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Machinist I to join our manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their machining career to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Machinist I, you'll work with a team of skilled professionals operating manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality components. You'll receive ongoing training, learn new techniques, and have the chance to grow within the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set Up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
  • Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
  • The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
  • Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
  • Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company policy.
  • Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
  • Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
  • Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
  • Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.
  • Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience.
  • Able to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on small details and ensure high accuracy in all assembly tasks, minimizing errors and rework.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new assembly techniques, tools, or technologies as needed to meet evolving production requirements.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Quality Focus: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, especially in aerospace.
  • Machining background and/or experience in a machine shop.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
