Senior Manager of Analytics

We are seeking a results-driven and technically proficientSenior Manager of Analyticsto lead a high-performing team of analysts, establish best practices for data visualization and analytics workflows, and play a critical role in delivering actionable insights across the organization. This role is a blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on technical expertise, with a strong focus on empowering decision-making through data.

This position requires a balance of technical depth, business acumen, and people management skills. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about modern data practices with a desire to provide insights above all else to drive Mimecast's future results.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and mentora small team of analysts, fostering growth and professional development.
  • Define and enforce standardsfor data visualization in Tableau dashboards and PowerPoint presentations, ensuring clarity and consistency
  • Oversee thedevelopment and enhancement of analytics workflows, streamlining reporting processes and insight generation
  • Implement and enforcecode standards(e.g., SQL style guides) to ensure alignment with the Data Engineering team
  • Partner with Data Engineering to structure the analyticsdbt projectusing a modern, layered approach
  • Act as theprimary liaisonwith stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical frameworks and insights, enabling high-impact decision-making
  • Contribute directly to analytics projects, includingdata modelinganddbt repository maintenance, while minimizing unnecessary barriers to collaboration (e.g., excessive PR approval layers)
  • Work onstrategic initiativesthat influence high-visibility decisions by stakeholders at the executive level
  • Assist in preparingrecurring executive reportsand insights, such as key contributions to ELT presentations and quarter end reporting

What You'll Bring:

  • 6+ yearsof experience in analytics, data engineering, data science, or a related field, with a focus on both technical and some leadership roles
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring analytics teams is preferred
  • Expertise inTableau,dbt, andSQL, including excellent data visualization skills and a strong understanding of modern data modeling practices.
  • Demonstrated ability tocollaborate cross-functionallywith technical teams (e.g., Data Engineering) and business stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights in an accessible and impactful way
  • Familiarity withgit workflowsfor analytics and experience contributing to shared repositories
