Job Title: Housing Program Coordinator/ Grant Coordinator

Location: Farmville, VA 23901

Pay Rate: $35.00/hr. on W2 without benefits

Duration: 3+ months

Work Hours: Shift Hours: Standard Shift

Job Description:

  • Prepare and submit Subrecipient Agreements and MOA's to meet VDH standards
  • Set up Community Based Organizations (CBO) files for each agreement and process invoices as appropriate.
  • Submit Purchase Orders for grant expenses as requested.
  • Facilitate connections with organizations and CBOs to strengthen partnerships with the focus on collective impact and sustainability.
  • Hold workshops on how to provide effective housing services; create housing stability that will have a long-term impact. Work collaboratively with the Community Action agencies (Housing and the Whole Family program) and subject matter experts to increase the effectiveness of the initiatives.
  • Work with the local Habitat for Humanity to provide housing stability training and develop a handbook as a guide to maintaining stable housing.
  • Conduct a grant and foundation writing workshop for CBO's so they can learn how to research grant and foundation opportunities and position themselves through effective grant/foundation writing to obtain awards and sustain their CBO services.


Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience:

  • The candidate must come into the position with a working knowledge of EVA, the Commonwealth of Virginia procurement system.
  • The candidate must have knowledge, strengths and weaknesses, of community-based organizations in Central Virginia.
  • The candidate must have advanced organizational skills and prepare and submit Subrecipient Agreements and/or MOA's to meet VDH standards.
  • The candidate shall have the skill set to set up Community Based Organizations (CBO) files for each agreement and process invoices as appropriate/track these expenses.
  • The candidate shall submit Purchase Orders for grant expenses as requested.
  • The candidate will facilitate connections with organizations and CBOs to strengthen partnerships with them and ensure focus on collective impact and sustainability.
  • The candidate shall be responsible for ordering Naloxone as needed and assist with entering Encounters into WebVISION. The candidate will train other Team Members regarding entry into Web VISION.
