JOB OVERVIEW:

Proactively leads analysis, POS reporting, category reviews, plan-o-gram evaluations, and data tool management, while also handling ad-hoc requests as needed. Translates multiple data sources into actionable insights and recommendations, delivering them clearly to the organization. Collaborates with Sales and Marketing teams to drive sales for Blue Diamond Growers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide support to organizational strategy and business development.
  • Perform analyses using POS data from Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, and retailer portals in illuminating the "why" behind data shifts.
  • Function as an expert across Blue Diamond Grower categories which include Snack Almonds, Non-Dairy Beverage, Crackers and Flour.
  • Review Circana Panel & Retailer loyalty card data reporting and provides analysis identifying insights and opportunities across Blue Diamond's categories.
  • Assess current trends and opportunities to drive sales through actionable insights.
  • Provide reporting needs across multiple departments within the organization and external customers/partners/retailers.
  • Build presentations recapping data and insights from sales and shopper Circana data.
  • Track key initiatives on distribution and merchandising across retailers and the impact of changes for brands and categories.
  • Support key National and Regional retailers with category reviews, POG analysis, and new item sell-in
  • Establish and share best practices among cross-border analyses at the regional level.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of data insights and insights analytics experience including mining data sources to find actionable insights
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the capability to appropriately define issues and questions from the data.
  • Experience building compelling presentations from data that summarizes complicated data and insights.
  • Skilled in project management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across teams and departments.
  • Skilled in working with agility and pivot in a fast-moving environment with a high impact on sales.
  • Good communicator with the ability to develop remote relationships with team members.
  • High level of comfort and speed utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools.
  • 15% travel requirement

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Direct CPG experience in Category Management, Revenue Growth Management, Business Analytics, or similar commercial analytics roles.
  • Syndicated sales and panel data software & metrics experience is preferred (e.g. Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, Numerator, Datasembly).
  • Retailer-specific POS and Loyalty Card data systems experience (e.g. 84.51, Vendor Central, Luminate).
