The Principal, Medicare Stars Strategies will lead end-to-end strategy and implementation for Medicare Advantage Star Ratings within Press Ganey's Strategic Consulting division. This role will serve as a cross-functional expert and execution leader across CAHPS, HEDIS, HOS, medication adherence, operational measures, and predictive analytics, ensuring comprehensive and adaptable support for client success.

This individual will integrate Press Ganey's Hyperlift analytics platform and other resources to inform prioritization, execution, and performance tracking. The role includes a dotted-line relationship to Product, contributing insight to inform Stars-related product and feature development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead consulting engagements focused on Star Ratings improvement for Medicare Advantage contracts across the country.
  • Design and deploy strategies aligned to CMS methodology and weighted performance domains (e.g., CAHPS, HEDIS, HOS, medication adherence and health plan operations).
  • Collaborate with Hyperlift to align consulting insights with predictive data and client dashboard functionality.
  • Analyze regulatory guidance and rate announcements to inform consulting recommendations and Stars-related product evolution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across domains of Medicare Stars, integrating clinical, actuarial, analytics, and operations insights.
  • Present findings to C-suite audiences and support client decision-making and implementation.
  • Identify cross-sell or upsell opportunities and support strategic growth of the Stars consulting practice.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; actuarial or economics background preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in Medicare Advantage, with deep expertise in Star Ratings strategy, operations, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated leadership across Stars domains and executive-level commun cation and influence skills.
  • Experience with CMS policy engagement or regulatory feedback strongly preferred.
  • Strong comfort with data, analytics, dashboard tools, and cross-functional strategy development.
  • Proven success leading governance or enterprise-wide improvement initiatives a plus.
