From your PASSION to ours

The Maintenance & Engineering Intern is a 10-week paid summer internship that will work within the Industrial Maintenance & Engineering team under the guidance and supervision of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager. The Maintenance & Engineering Intern will support our manufacturing operations by assisting with preventative and reactive maintenance activities, as well as driving 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) continuous-improvement initiatives on the plant floor. The internship would provide hands-on experience in Project Management at a facility. The internship is an on-site role that will be based out of our Tulare, CA, plant.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

5S Implementation & Audits

• Lead and participate in 5S events: sorting work areas, organizing tools/materials, cleaning equipment, standardizing procedures, and sustaining improvements.
• Conduct regular 5S audits and track metrics to ensure compliance and continuous progress

Data & Reporting

• Record maintenance activities, downtime events, and 5S audit results in CMMS or Excel.
• Prepare summary reports and present findings to the maintenance team.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all plant safety protocols: lockout/tagout, confined-space entry, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute observations for hazard mitigation.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; able to work safely in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
