Compensation Grade: H96Compensation Details: Minimum: $22.00 - Maximum: $22.00 HourlyDepartment (OHEHR) AI - AIDS InstituteJob Description: Responsibilities Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Hourly Project Assistant II to work within the AIDS Institute's Office of the Medical Director. The Hourly Project Assistant II will support the Digital Health Initiative which focuses on the research, development, implementation, and evaluation of digital tools to impact the AIDS Institute's mission and goals. The Digital Health Initiative's programs educate AIDS Institute staff and constituents about the various ways digital technologies enhance access to health information and the delivery of healthcare services. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public health communication, digital health technology and build workforce capacity by equipping participants with critical digital and social media skills that will be essential for managing future public health challenges. The Hourly Project Assistant II will gain experience through assisting with the development and execution of social media campaigns that promote public health messages, raise awareness of health issues, and increase community engagement. The incumbent will develop health communication skills through contributing to the development of training sessions, workshops, and activities with a specific focus on digital health tools and their application in addressing public health challenges. The incumbent will garner practical skills through utilization of digital platforms and tools to gather, analyze, and present public health data. The incumbent will also expand their professional network via mentorship sessions, networking events, and virtual workshops with public health experts and the Digital Health Initiative staff. Teamwork and collaborative skills will be gained working alongside the Digital Health Initiative team to support ongoing projects, assist with research, and contribute ideas for innovative digital health solutions. Each task will lend valuable input into the ongoing work of the Digital Health Initiative Team at the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute, and other duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a related educational program/field. Preferred Qualifications A demonstrated interest in public health, technology, social media, and community empowerment. Experience in social media platforms and digital tools (e.g., content creation, social media management, graphic design, etc.). Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Conditions of Employment Hourly, grant funded position expected to last through 8/25/2025. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, may be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
