The Role:

Join our global IT organization as a Lead Project Manager / Scrum Master at our site in Aurora, IL to drive a critical objective within our IT programs. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver innovative technology solutions that enhance our business operations, support product offering improvements, streamline operations, and support our worldwide workforce. This role is pivotal in advancing our internal IT capabilities, ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term strategic vision.

What You'll Do:

  • Guide and coach teams on project management principles, adapting practices to fit team maturity and delivery needs.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones, ensuring accountability and alignment across stakeholders.

  • Develop and manage sprint plans or detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, tailored to Agile, hybrid, or predictive methodologies.

  • Partner with Business or Product Owners to ensure backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and execution-ready.

  • Facilitate team ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and weekly check-ins.

  • Proactively identify risks and blockers, escalate issues, and drive resolution to maintain delivery momentum and quality.

  • Translate technical progress into business impact through clear, concise stakeholder updates and executive reporting.

  • Integrate IT solutions (e.g., cloud platforms, AI tools, automation) into workflows to optimize delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure adherence to global IT standards, security protocols, and data governance policies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Operate effectively across teams with varying levels of project management maturity, guiding them through transformation and capability building.

  • Model project management excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and delivery discipline.

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum 6 years of project management experience in IT or related domains.

  • Strong team orientation and collaborative mindset.

  • Experience managing Agile, hybrid, and predictive teams.

  • Proficiency in project management and Agile tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence).

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and drive outcomes.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution capabilities.

  • Demonstrated success in supporting team performance and delivering project goals.

  • Ability to navigate and manage complex, dynamic project environments.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience leading Agile transformation initiatives and guiding teams through methodology shifts.

  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Miro, and other collaboration platforms.

  • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent.

  • Experience scaling Agile and project management practices across multiple teams or enterprise programs.

  • Background in digitally focused programs, including platform development, AI integration, or cloud adoption.

  • Leadership experience in building high-performing teams in fast-paced, evolving environments

  • Compensation: $120,000-150,000/year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
