Pro-Active Engineering is currently seeking Assembly and General Production workers to perform tasks involved in general assembly of printed circuit boards. This involves hand insertion of electronic components, trimming wires, clipping leads, programming and testing boards, box build assembly and printed circuit board cleaning. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Follow internal assembly process documentation ensuring product meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
2. Depanelize printed circuit boards.
3. Hand insertion of thru-hole to class 2 IPC standards.
4. Trimming, clipping, tinning of wires and leads.
5. Prep raw components for secondary operations.
6. Hand washing of finished printed circuit board assemblies.
7. Properly label or mark circuit boards.
8. Keep an accurate count of product at your workstation while inspecting every piece for defects.
9. Glue, epoxy, mask and conformal coat circuit boards.
10. Program and functionally test circuit boards. Package and box assemblies as required for shipping.
11. Keep supplies stocked and preparing work area for the next shift.
12. Follow all safety rules, including wearing protective gear when required.
13. Ensure work area is kept clean and free of debris.

Physical Demands


  1. Prolonged periods of sitting.
  2. Physically able to work with hands,
  3. Good dexterity with small parts and repetitive motion.

Required Education and Experience


  1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED)


Preferred Education and Experience


  1. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  2. Knowledge of electronic components and equipment.
