Aon is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Colleague Experience Communications to drive internal communications across our people-related initiatives in close coordination with Aon's People Organization (Human Resources). This role will report to the Head of Colleague Experience Communications on Aon's global Marketing & Communications team.

The Senior Manager of Colleague Experience Communications is responsible for the development of effective internal communications strategies and implementing supporting tactics that create a clear understanding of Aon's people-related initiatives for colleagues and drive impactful experiences by partnering with the People Organization. This role will focus on establishing an annual cadence of communications for annual people projects (i.e. performance management, compensation, celebration days, wellbeing, colleague awards, benefits, etc.) while planning, developing and executing initiative-based communications in support of emerging priorities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and execute communications strategies for Aon's People Organization to engage, inform and celebrate colleagues, change behavior and drive performance across the workforce. Initiatives include performance management, inclusion and wellbeing, talent acquisition, values and learning and development, among other people-related priorities.
  • Cultivate trusted partnerships with senior leaders in the People Organization to help advance communications effectiveness in driving engagement and results. Work with leaders to identify communications objectives, brainstorm creative solutions and develop and execute communication plans using multiple channels.
  • Develop an understanding of the unique goals, key roles and standard practices across the People Organization to ensure effective communications strategies.
  • Create engaging content that uses a wide range of communications channels (webcasts, face-to-face, video, online, social media, etc.) to engage and inform all colleagues globally.
  • Measure effectiveness of communication activities and use feedback to improve future efforts.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 8+ years of relevant strategic communication experience with an emphasis on internal, change or HR communications; global experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of advising, influencing and partnering with senior leaders on strategic issues.
  • Self-motivated with outstanding interpersonal, team and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts simply and visually.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with proven expertise in using different styles and "voice" to reflect the nature of the individual, audience and message.
  • Ability and willingness to perform both strategic and tactical elements of the role.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to execute programs with speed, accuracy and efficiency.
  • Creative thinker, with a desire and willingness to seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours as needed to interact with others in global locations and meet business needs/deadlines.
  • Language skills a plus.

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $115,000 - $140,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
