Job Summary

The Print Services Assistant, working under direct supervision, is responsible for the daily functions of a dynamic print center in a fast-paced environment. The roles primary objectives include guaranteeing the timely production, printing, and insertion of daily print materials, adhering to the established Service Level Agreement. The role also oversees equipment maintenance and manages inventory and ensures adherence to company standards and requirements, upholds organizational policies and procedures, and actively engages in ongoing projects and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities



  • Supports the day-to-day operations of a high-volume, fast-paced print department in an enterprise setting, ensuring consistent delivery of processes and services that are of high quality and meets business objectives.
  • Utilizes various platforms and software to collect daily print output.
  • Prepares machines for printing including alignment, testing, formatting, and adjusting layout accordingly.
  • Operates high-definition (HD) production printers with high-capacity feeding and duplex speed and operates the B&H Gunther machine for insertion purposes.
  • Conducts daily maintenance on HD production printers, generates reports, and creates service escalation tickets.
  • Prioritizes work to ensure compliance with each Service Level Agreement (SLA), including the timely delivery of high-priority mail.
  • Monitors and maintains a continuous inventory of printer consumables, paper, and envelopes within the department.
  • Collaborates with Print Services Lead Assistant and the Print Services Supervisor to develop collaborative solutions and optimize business requirements.
  • Stays updated on technological advancements and organizational needs, and effectively communicates, develops, and incorporates best practices.



Job Qualifications



  • 0-2 years of experience in Print Room Operations or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.
