About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Scale Attendant at a high-traffic Energy-from-Waste facility. This position plays a key role in monitoring truck activity and ensuring compliance with operational and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all inbound and outbound truck activity; accurately weigh and document each load.

  • Collect and verify information from drivers using the Origin & Destination (O&D) form; ensure all load contents are appropriate and compliant.

  • Enter truck and load information into internal computer systems.

  • Maintain accurate records of scale tickets, manifests, and related documentation.

  • Communicate relevant tonnage and operational updates to internal departments.

  • Ensure drivers comply with DEP regulations and site safety rules, including PPE requirements.

  • Perform routine Scale House walkdowns and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.

  • Handle special projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Provide customer service to drivers, vendors, and the public, including answering phones and sharing operational information.

  • Promptly report any operational issues or irregularities to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative, clerical, or accounting roles.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with records management systems is a plus.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

  • The Scale House operates 24/6 from 12:00 AM Monday to 11:59 PM Saturday.

  • Shifts rotate between:

    • 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

    • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    • 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps. The pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. Some roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or additional incentives.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $21.94 to $27.45 per hour

The pay offered is based on factors like relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, location, performance, internal equity, union contract (if applicable), work schedule, travel and business needs.

In addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits. If this role is eligible for benefits, the benefits would include medical, prescription drug, vision, and dental plans; 401(k) plan; paid parental leave; paid time off; and paid holidays.
