Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that are scalable, resilient, high throughput, and low latency for the GS Electronic Trading platform.
  • Collaborate with team and stakeholders to understand and refine specifications for new features.
  • Work across a variety of problem domains and software stacks that play a critical role in adding value to our various Equities cash and derivatives business lines.
  • Proactively monitor the health of the production trading system and respond to alerts as needed.



Basic Qualifications



  • Proficiency in either Java or C++.
  • Clear understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Familiarity with core programming concepts and techniques (e.g. concurrency, memory management).
  • Comfort with version control systems and standard SDLC software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Motivated, creative, and curious engineers who thrive in a fast-paced global environment.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with Linux operating system.
  • Interest in financial markets.
