Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Risk and Governance Analyst/Associate to join the AWM Risk Management team. This role is critical in supporting the risk management framework across the division, with a specific focus on risk committee support, fund board reporting, and divisional risk and control reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders across AWM, including investment teams, compliance, legal, and other risk management functions.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential:

Risk Committee and Council Support:



  • Prepare materials for AWM risk committees and councils, including compiling data, drafting presentations, and documenting meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of risk committee and council meetings.
  • Track and follow up on action items arising from risk committee and council meetings.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of risk committee charters and terms of reference.


Fund Board Reporting:



  • Assist in the preparation of risk reports for fund boards, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Analyze fund risk metrics and performance data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Work with investment teams to gather information and respond to fund board inquiries.
  • Maintain documentation related to fund board reporting processes.


Divisional Risk and Control Reporting:



  • Contribute to the development and production of regular risk and control reports for AWM management.
  • Assist in the monitoring and assessment of key risks and controls across the division.
  • Identify and escalate potential risk issues to senior management.
  • Support the implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate risk data from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain risk dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality and reporting processes.


Skills & Experience We're Looking For:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1 year+ of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field within the asset and wealth management industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
