*****This position will be on site Monday-Friday and require 10 hour shifts, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday**** *Basic Duties:* * Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out * Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone * Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team * Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications * Prepare patient intake forms prior to appointments to ensure timely service * Verify insurance eligibility of patients to determine if services are covered, and obtain authorizations as needed. * Provide counseling to patients advising them of their financial responsibility at time of service * Achieve quality assurance goals * Adhere to the established system of controls to secure and reconcile payments receive. * Effectively communicate with all contacts as necessary to solve problems * Maintain a clean and safe environment *Shift Expectations = 40 hours a week* * Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday - 8am-7pm * Tuesday and Friday are always half days - 8am-1pm * The office is FULLY CLOSED for a 1-hour lunch from 1p-2p on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Strong customer service skills are required * Ability to work on site 5 days a week * Medical customer service is preferred, but will absolutely consider people from other industries for this role who have the desire to get into the medical field! * Proven ability to work with and navigate a computer desktop efficiently * Proficient in the use of all necessary office equipment - faxes, copiers, etc. * Fluent typing skills (minimum 40 words per minute) and proficiency with Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
