Introduction This standard procedure establishes and describes the essential function, authority, duties and responsibilities, job requirements, and performance criteria of the aquatic supervisor for Chula Vista Resort. Functional Role The basic function of the aquatic supervisor is to monitor aquatic areas, ensuring guest safety through effective surveillance. The aquatic supervisor must be able to effectively supervise a large staff of slide attendants and lifeguards. Reporting Relations Directly Reports To: Aquatic Manager Direct Report(s): Slide attendants and lifeguards Responsibilities and Duties The primary responsibilities and duties of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Having a clean, sanitary, organized work station. Educational Requirements: Required: 1 to 2 years experience in a related field Preferred: High School Diploma, American Red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR/First Aid/AED certification (may be obtained through Chula Vista Resort) Physical Requirements: Body Positions: Standing/walking for extended periods of time. Body Movements: Walking, climbing stairs, turning head and torso, bending arms, wrists and fingers. Body Senses: Must have full use of eyes and ears, full power of speech. |
