Overview

We are seeking an Emergency Room CNA, also referred to as a Certified Nursing Assistant - ER (CNA-ER) or an Emergency Services CNA. An Emergency Room CNA (ER CNA) or Emergency Department CNA (ED CNA) assists nurses and doctors in the emergency room / emergency department by providing patient care, monitoring vital signs, helping with procedures, and ensuring medical supplies are stocked. They also transport patients, document observations, maintain infection control, and offer emotional support in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Bonus: Up to $1,000 (Paid out as stipends every 90 days)

Shift's Available: Mid-Shift (12hr options)

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours: 11:00am to 11:00pm

Responsibilities

**If you are planning to earn your CNA within the next 60 days or have no prior hospital experience, we encourage you to apply. This is an entry-level position for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). We also offer assistance in obtaining your BLS certification through the American Heart Association, if needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Help patients with basic needs (bathing, dressing, toileting), reposition and transfer patients as needed
  • Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration), assist with wound care and dressing changes under supervision
  • Prepare rooms and ensure medical supplies are stocked, transport patients within the hospital (to imaging or other departments)
  • Assist with procedures (e.g., setting up equipment, applying splints), perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and basic life support if certified
  • Record patient information and observations, report changes in patient condition to nurses or doctors and provide emotional support to patients and families
  • Clean and sanitize patient areas and equipment, follow hospital protocols to prevent infection spread


Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required
  • Current BLS upon hire and maintain current

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possess knowledge of Medical Terminology

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred
