POSITION SPECIFICS We are searching for a Contractor Program Security Officer to join our team at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) for Penn State University at the State College, PA location. ARL's purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intel Community (IC). ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply. You will be responsible for continuous enhancement and implementation of local security programs and procedures for classified information protection. This position is responsible for developing and administering local security programs and procedures for classified and proprietary materials, documents and equipment in support of USG and DoD programs; works closely with program leadership, sponsor, IA/ISSM staff, local security team members and peers in adjacent business areas to ensure appropriate security support across multiple offices; coordinates with other local directorates and business area leadership to identify and support business needs; and leads program security inspections and participate in security program self-assessment initiatives, ensuring compliance with security regulations prescribed by multiple USG agencies. This successful candidate will be available to provide security support such as conference management, visit certifications, and support to programs as needed. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS If filled as Integrated Security Specialist - Advanced Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None If filled as Integrated Security Specialist - Intermediate Professional, this position requires: Associate Degree 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneYour working location will be fully on-site, located in State College, Pennsylvania.
